Job Title: Data Centre Project Manager Design & Build   


Day Rate: Negotiable 


The Opportunity:

  • Responsible for the management of Design, Construction and major Renovation projects on a number of DC sites, whilst ensuring quality, cost and time monitoring.
  • Technical advisor for hyperscaler customers and other large accounts.
  • To monitor all DC technologies and architectures at international level in order to guide the technical solutions that are implemented.
  • Ensures the management of the design and construction of DC, IT development of existing DC ("fit-out"), and major renovation projects. The specific tasks and responsibilities are described below.
  • Support the entire design phase, in particular to ensure that the targeted Data Centre meets our clients needs.
  • Be the interface between the Operational teams and the Design teams throughout the project.
  • Manage service providers with a direct contractual link with the Contracting Authority (EDF, control office, safety coordinator, CSI, design office, architect, land owner, project management, etc.).
  • Participate, if necessary, in customer audits aimed at the design of Data Centres.
  • Ensure technology watch on good practices in the design, construction and security of data centres at the international level.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years within an MOA, a BET, even an installer on project management issues, allowing to have significant knowledge in areas where continuity of service is essential and technical knowledge making it possible to manage the various fields concerned.
  • Good command of English.
  • Some knowledge of German would be a plus.
  • Experience working in Anglo-Saxon contexts desirable.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the market as well as of Data Centre players.
  • Control of all HVAC / CFo / CFa / Safety / Security / GTC / Structural work / Second work of the Data Centre.
